The Jacobs Quality Tactical Level 3+ Steel Armor Plates are made in the USA and are NIJ tested by independent ballistic labs to defeat up to 6 rounds from 7.62 NATO bullets at velocities up to 2780fps. These plates also passed NIJ 0101.06 six shot stand-alone tests against 5.56 M193 55 Grain FMJ at 2900fps. In house testing by the manufacturer defeated 30-06 165 grain copper tip trophy. Our new proprietary steel core is far stronger than the AR500. This core of this plate is hardened all the way through unlike the AR500 which is only surfaced hardened. These plates are a curved, shooters cut design made to fit your body more comfortably and allow for greater range of motion while wearing your armor and shouldering your rifle.  All models of this plate come with a 20-year lifetime warranty.  We highly recommend that you use our trauma pads in conjunction with these plates.  Trauma pads go behind the armor plate and help reduce shock from impact.
