Jacobs Quality Tactical Level 3+ Steel Armor Plates are made in the USA and are NIJ tested by independent ballistic labs to defeat up to 6 rounds from 7.62 NATO bullets at velocities up to 2780fps. These plates also passed NIJ 0101.06 six shot stand-alone tests against 5.56 M193 55 Grain FMJ at 2900fps. In house testing by the manufacturer defeated 30-06 165 grain copper tip trophy. Our new proprietary steel core is far stronger than the AR500. This core of this plate is hardened all the way through unlike the AR500 which is only surfaced hardened. At only 0.197 inches thick this plate is 20% lighter than the AR500 and superior in strength.

These plates are a curved, shooters cut design made to fit your body more comfortably and allow for greater range of motion while wearing your armor and shouldering your rifle.  All models of this plate come with a 20-year lifetime warranty.  We highly recommend that you use our trauma pads in conjunction with these plates.  Trauma pads go behind the armor plate and help reduce shock from impact.

The TSG Muircat Plate Carrier features a ventilated interior mesh to provide the wearer with the ultimate in cooling. Made of durable 600D and 1000D military grade ripstop nylon, this plate carrier is built to perform. High quality manufacturing standards are why this carrier vest features double stitched seams and “X” stitching at all ends for the strongest construction. The Muircat MOLLE Plate Carrier vest provides pockets for the front and rear 10″ x 12″ or 11″x14″ armor plates plus both 6″ x 8″ side plates. The front and back armor pockets feature double hook and loop closure and snaps to keep the plates secure. This plate carrier easily accepts all MOLLE accessories so that you can customize your loadout how you see fit.
